What Is Music Production
Almost every person in the world listen to music. But many of them did not ask them self how music is made?
In this short post I will try to explain you how music is made, what is music production etc.
First I am going to write about what you need to made music, to produce it. There is quick list :
- Personal Computer/PC
- Music Making Software (Cool Edit, Adobe Audition, Cubase, ...)
- Microphone
- Headphones/Speakers
- Audio Mixer
That`s all you need to made your own music. All need to do next is record you vocals over beat and let producer to make you voice magic. But how he does that? What is music production??
Music production is a process of finalizing song. What music producer really do is, he place your vocals at the right spot on "timeline" of the instrumental/beat and then just apply some nice effects that will help you so sound like "opera diva" (just kidding).
After all this is done your song is ready to for publicity.
After all this is done your song is ready to for publicity.
How to become a music producer
When most of the producers above started their careers, being a producer meant getting to work in a professional studio somehow – by hook or by crook.Often this meant starting out working as a tea-boy or toilet cleaner (!), gradually working your way up to tape-op or assistant engineer, and waiting until one day the the engineer was sick, or stormed out in a huff and you got your “big break” – your one chance to get behind the desk and show the clients why you should be the producer of their next hit…
All that has changed.
These days, anyone can be a music producer, with little more than a laptop, some free software and an internet connection.
Or can they ?
The truth is, these days it may actually be even harder to become a music producer than ever before.
Precisely because all the technical requirements are within almost anyone’s grasp, everyone who wants to record and mix music is doing it – and that means there’s a lot of competition.
Which means it’s hard to get noticed, let alone the chance to work with great artists or gain any recognition for what you do.
So, does that mean you should give up and go home ? No way ! Just be aware you’ll have a tough hill to climb, and you’ll need dedication, commitment, skill and not a little luck.
So maybe it’s not so different from the old days, after all
HOW TO BUILD YOUR OWN MUSIC STUDIO
Human Factor
You
are always sing under a shower, you sing at job or school, you sing
when you exercise, run, walk, you sing everyday! If you do, then I want
to share with you some info what are you need to build your own home
music studio.
You
are always sing under a shower, you sing at job or school, you sing
when you exercise, run, walk, you sing everyday! If you do, then I want
to share with you some info what are you need to build your own home
music studio.
First
and most important thing is your passion for music. If you have that
passion building own studio would not be problem for you. Because if you
want it so much you would not be care how much it will cost. But if you
are insure about it you will never build your studio. Because its easy
to buy some equipment and get somebody else to do for you.

Second
human factor is talent. If you are not talent, do not give up, please
do not. If you do not have a talent for singing or rapping so what? You
can be a music maker, producer or something else. All you have to do is
try and try and try and you will success! If you do have a talent for
singing or raping, or beat making
or production YOU SHOULD MAKE YOUR STUDIO AS MUCH SOON POSSIBLE! Why?
Because you do not want to waste your time, that you could use to
increase yours skills as rapper, singer, beat maker, or producer.
Next
thing is very important that is persistence and patience. Nothing grows
over night, not even today best musicians, producers, beat makers
not get success over night. You should put 100% of you if you want to
get a result you want! Do never give up please do not. If you spot that
it is not going so great, do not worry everyone has their falls and ups!
EVERYONE!
Hardware equipment
Well
when are you psychologically ready to make your own home music studio
first thing you need is some basic equipment. Professional music studios
have a lot of equipment, several microphones, several computers,
several mixers, high quality Amplifier, anti-noise chamber, high
quality sound cards, professional cables, quality headphones etc.
But here I am not talking about professional studio, I am talking about home music studio. Right?
So what equipment do I need to get started?
Well
first thing you must have is computer (PC). Most of you have one but
you can not take just any PC to do music with. You must have a very
powerful processor and a lot of ram memory, because If you want to
connect some other music equipment with it you must have a strong PC! Also you must have stable operative system and some strong anti virus software.
When
you get a powerful PC next thing you must buy is actually just PC
upgrade. That upgrade is professional sound card. Without sound card you
can not do a thing, because all other equipment you must plug in into
sound card on PC. I recommend to you Audiotrak Maya44 Professional Sound Card. This card is amazing! Maya44 Sound Card have
eight output and eight input channels, It is very powerful. This card
is made in Korea, but do not worry it is absolutely one of the best
sound card on market. It cost just about 160$. Very cheap.
Next
hardware you need is mixer. Mixer is device witch you can use as
Amplifier, all you have to do is install it correctly and configure it
correctly. I recommend to youMixer YAMAHA, EMX 5016CF (A). Yamaha emx 5016CF specs : MAX POWER 4Ω -8Ω : 500W+500W AND 320W+320W! AWSOME!
Next hardware you need is some quality microphone.I recommend to you 797 Audio CR616 Condenser Microphone. It is great quality and very powerful mic. It cost only 203$. Very low price for quality it gives.
If you are music maker or beat maker you should get some midi keyboard. Average price of one midi keyboard is about 200-300$.
Sound Card
Sound
card (audio card, Sound card) converts sound into digital signals and
converts digital signals into sound through speakers or headphones. Two
main parts of the sound card to perform these tasks are digital-analog
converter (D / A converter) and analog-digital converter (A / D
converter). Simplified main function of the sound card to give better
quality sound for listening to music, watching movies, playing games etc
Types of sound cards
As with graphics and network cards
can be divided into those that are built into the motherboard (onboard
audio) and in the form of cards that plug into the slot (ISA, PCI ...)
on the motherboard. All modern motherboards have on board audio, but if
you want better sound you can put a special sound card, in which case
the on board sound card is disabled (or in the BIOS or via a jumper on
the motherboard. In addition to playing audio sound card allows you to
record sound for what we still need a microphone and software for
recording audio (in Windows there is no such program (sound recorder) but is quite limited capabilities).
Sound Card Connectors
Sound Card connectors are order by color ;
- PINK - Microphone input
- BLUE- Line in
- GREEN- The main speaker connector (output)
- BLACK- Rear speaker connector (output)
- ORANGE- S/PDIF port, or subwoofer (digital output)
Music Applications
here is the list of music applications for music production
This list is an additional extra to go along with our post called "Choosing DAW Software That is Right for You"
which is good to read if you are going to be choosing one of these
pieces of software. All of these DAWs are a good choice which can be
used to create an entire song. This list should help people who are
choosing their first piece of DAW software and give a good idea on the
vast array of DAW products that are on offer.
As I stated in that previous post, I use the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) term loosely to mean any piece of software which could be used to edit and record a track from start to finish so there might be software on here which whether it is a DAW or not is up for discussion, but all software listed below has and can be been used to produce professional sounding tracks.
Remember to try each one out before you buy by finding the demo, I have linked to many of the demos below. If no demo is available also try watching video tutorials on YouTube and you will be able to see the interface and techniques being used. Most of these also have a forum where you could go and ask to make sure that they can achieve what you require and also any necessary features. I have included icons to show which operating system the DAW software supports (Windows, Linux, Mac OS).
Good luck in finding the perfect DAW to create your music.

There are a lot of high quality sound cards on market. If you are looking for buying some professional sound card to run home made studio I have some solution for you.
First you must decide what are you going to do with that sound card, would you like to record vocals or connect some other music hardwares like midi keyboard, guitar etc. You must be very careful with choosing right sound card for you.
If you are a singer or rapper I recommend Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD Internal Sound Card with THX SB1270. This sound card is one of most popular of his kind. With this sound card you will get a great studio quality sound for very cheap money. I found this great offer on Amazon just 169.20 USD. This price is great for the quality that this sound card gives to you.
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD Internal sound card will satisfy all you needs.
Installation is very easy, and you will get user manual so I wont waste my time explaining that. I am using this sound card for two months and I AM AMAZED how great quality this sound card produce. In fact this sound card gives THE BEST sound quality on output and also quite awesome quality of input. The Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD features audiophile-grade components for high-quality playback of music, games and movies, including 122db SNR Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs), the highest signal-to-noise ratio sound card ever produced by Creative.
All this fact should be enough to buy it :). I love Creative Sound Cards!

FL Studio
I hear a lot of people talk about FL Studio being good for beginners and it is good for some beginners and not so much for others. As the name suggests FL Studio is a little loop orientated but as newer versions have come out the software has become more and more like a virtual studio. It still isn't for everybody and is not the way to go if you are going to be doing a lot of recording of audio, but if you are looking for software to program in beats and tracks then it is going to be a great piece of software for you.Official Site

Propellerheads Reason
Reason is software which tries to emulate the hardware environment within software. You have samplers, synthesizers, effect and more in a rack which can wired to each other and then add in a sequencer and you have a full electronic music workstation on your computer. Lack of VST support and audio recording abilities have been one of the common aggravations I have heard from Reason users but you can 'Rewire' (connect) the software to another DAWs which has rewire support. Great piece of software for those who want that hardware feel but has a steeper learning curve than others.Wikipedia Article

Cockos Reaper
Reaper is made by a small number of people and is very inexpensive compared to others DAWs on the market, yet it still manages to include all the necessary requirements for most people. The evaluation version is 'complete and uncrippled' so is worth trying out at only a 4 megabyte download. Most people will fall into the bracket of getting the discounted license too which costs just '$60'. Reaper supports many plug-in types including VSTi's and to beef Reaper up you will probably want to either invest in some plug-ins or find some great free plug-ins to get the most out of the software.Wikipedia Article
